Last week, some of the TAD PGS team attended the 2014 First Coast Defense Expo in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the second year in a row that TAD PGS attended.
The event is hosted annually by the Florida Defense Contractors Association in conjunction with Jacksonville Aviation Authority and Congressman Ander Crenshaw.
Tom Brewer, VP of Security and Compliance, was one of the team members who went to the First Coast Defense Expo and wanted to share his experience:
Over forty local and regional companies displaying their goods and services with booths were in attendance along with TAD PGS inside the jetport at Cecil Airport. Our booth display allowed us to engage and network with other First Coast area federal, state, and local stakeholders who jointly make the Florida defense industry sector a strong economic driving force while securing our nation and supporting the men and women of our Armed Forces.
While at the event, Wendy and I had the opportunity to introduce TAD PGS, Inc. to many of those leading defense industry firms in the region and throughout the nation. Many public officials who support defense contractors were on hand and participated in town hall style panels. Displays were varied and enriched the event with a wide array of service providers and government support agencies. The Small Business Development Center attended the event and provided great tools and insight for small biz owners. There were many static displays of the latest defense equipment, vehicles, and aircraft which provide for our nation’s defense with their crews providing personalized tours of each. Of particular interest to Wendy and I were the F-18 Fighter Jet, M1A2 Abrams tank, CH47 Chinook helicopter, and the unmanned MQ8 Fire Scout helicopter. The military crews associated with each of our tours of these fabulous machines were perfect examples of the professional warrior and provoked great emotion of national pride within all who were present!
The event was a huge success in expanding the network and brand name throughout the region.
