Salary is an important factor when considering a position. In fact, according to job search and salary compensation site Glassdoor, nearly 7 out of 10 people say salary and compensation are among the top things they consider before accepting a position.

Highest Paying Jobs In America

Glassdoor researched jobs where people shared salary information to determine the 25 highest paying jobs in America for 2016. The jobs considered include a minimum of 75 salary reports dated between January 24, 2015 and January 23, 2016. In a high-tech era where developer and engineer jobs are booming, it’s physicians, lawyers and research and development managers who earn the biggest paychecks.

“This report reinforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills, higher education and working in jobs that are protected from competition or automation,” said Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor Chief Economist.
