While the interest in recruiting military veterans continues to grow, many employers & HR professionals still have concerns and questions regarding their risk of bringing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) into the workplace.

Join us for a live webinar with Dr. Harry Croft who is a psychiatrist in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Croft is a former Army Psychiatrist who has evaluated more than 7000 veterans (most with PTSD). He is also the co-author of a book I Always Sit with my Back to the Wall: a book of hope and help for those with PTSD (www.mybacktothewall.com). He is a frequent lecturer on PTSD and mental health issues to lay groups, and also presents CME (continuing medical education) programs nationwide to civilian Primary Care Physician groups on recognition and treatment of combat related PTSD.

Dr. Croft’s session will provide HR professionals with a primer on what PTSD is (and is not), signs that may indicate someone (not just veterans!) is experiencing PTS symptoms, what you as an employer can do to support and accomodate someone who has PTSD and advice on evaluating your Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

This is a free session and you do need to register to receive the log in/dial in information. Please go to https://www4.gotomeeting.com/register/172485391 to register for the session.

Lisa Rosser, developer of http://www.thevalueofaveteran.com/ is to my mind, the definitive expert on the true value that veterans can bring to the workforce.  Her programs of training for recruitment, and retention of veterans are of the highest caliber.
